Global Compact for Refugees

On September 22, 2021, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Coordinating Committee of the Global Working Group on Migration (GTFM) hosted the Global Online Meeting on the Contribution of Cities to the Global Compact for Refugees.

The aim of the discussion, which took place in plenary and in smaller groups, was to go through current initiatives and commitments and identify the necessary future moves to translate the Global Refugee Pact into concrete improvements in the lives of refugees and their host communities.

This Good Practices collection is one of the meeting’s outcomes. Athens, Karditsa, Heraklion, Ioannina and Larissa, members of the CNI, participate with their good practices.
