The 7th International Partner Meeting was held in Brussels, from 27 – 29 November 2024, in the context of the implementation of the European Programme “Multi-STakeholder Labs for migrants and stakeholders (MUST-a-Lab)”, lasting three (3) years (2022-2024), with funding from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Commission.
The Municipality of Livadia completes the implementation of the “MUST-a-Lab” during which Policy Labs were held that promoted participatory processes and enhanced the dialogue between migrants and stakeholders involved in integration processes.
Livadia Project Team participated in the 7th International Partner Meeting, held in Brussels, together with representatives of all consortium partners from Italy, Spain, Belgium, Austria and France. Specifically, on November 28, an International Conference was held with the title: “Participatory democracy at work. Lessons learnt from city level integration policies”. During the conference, experts also contributed to the analysis of the project results regarding the operation of the Policy Labs and the migrants’ participation in designing improved integration policies. Furthermore, on November 29, the last International Partner Meeting took place in the city of Mechelen, Belgium, where the next necessary actions, which the partners have to take for the smooth termination of the programme, as well as the potential future collaborations for the implementation of programmes, were discussed.
The Mayor of Livadia, Mr. Dimitris K. Karamanis emphasizes that with the implementation of the “MUST-a-Lab” European Programme, participative democracy was promoted, which is an integral part of a European model of society and on the basis of which benefits can flow in various sectors. The Municipality of Livadia will continue to struggle for the implementation of programmes aimed at the development and sustainability of our society.
